I must say, when Lifehacker gave me the opportunity to be one of the productivity heroes, I jumped on the occasion! I've always dreamt of becoming a hero.
Besides, I'm French and in France we just don't have websites like Lifehacker. So if you want to know how a French startup Marketing Manager handles to stay productive, read this article.
Drinking wine at the office?
Location: Bordeaux (yes, the city of wine), France.
Current gig: Azendoo Marketing and Communication Manager / writer enthusiast.
Current mobile device: Iphone5.
Current computer: 13" MacBook Air
One word that best describes how you work: Passionate
What apps/software/tools can't you live without? I couldn't do anything without Evernote. Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign are my guardian angels. And Pocket follows me everywhere.
What's your workspace like? It's a big open-space with palm trees, deck-chairs, desks and computers of course! We're 16 working there. The best part is downstairs as there's a perfect chilling spot where we sometimes work (see enclosed picture).
What's your best time-saving trick? Avoid procrastination.
What's your favorite to-do list manager? Azendoo indeed! No, really I mean it (not only because I'm working for it). We built this app (which is in fact a Task Management App and not a To Do list app) to facilitate your daily organization in teams.
Besides your phone and computer; what gadget can't you live without? My hairdryer I guess...
What everyday thing are you better at than anyone else? Answer to emails! I really hate not answering emails right away (well not in the next 5 min but at least every 2 hours). I really don't like when people don't answer emails. They could at least set up an automatic response: "Sorry I don't have time to answer to your request".
What are you currently reading? "1984" for the fourth time, because I really do love this book.
What do you listen to while you work? I listen to playlists, my favorite ones are from Le Tournedisque.
Are you an introvert or an extrovert? Can I say both? Indeed it really depends of who I am talking to and my daily mood. But I'm more an extrovert than an introvert.
What's your sleep routine like? I read a book before going to bed. I usually fall asleep around midnight and wake up at 7am.
Fill in the blank: I'd love to see answer these same questions. Batman
What's the best advice you've ever received? If you want to do something, do it. Don't wait for others to do it for you.
Is there anything you'd like to add? Excusez mon anglais...
